Solar panels
Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity, which powers your systems and devices. If the generated electricity is not sufficient, for example at night, the required additional electricity is automatically drawn from the regular main grid. If there is a surplus of generated electricity, it is fed back into the main grid.

Transparent pricing
With us, no hidden costs for administration or additional work — just clear, honest prices.
Fair rates for everyone
We have noticed that different nationalities negotiate in different ways. Some people always ask for a discount, while others don’t. That’s why we don’t work with negotiation margins, commissions, or discounts. Everyone receives the same transparent and competitive price from the very beginning.
Lowest price guarantee
Thanks to our competitive prices, we can offer a lowest price guarantee, provided that the comparison is made with A-quality systems and includes all necessary documentation and building permits.
Building permits are mandatory in Spain
In Spain, a building permit is mandatory for solar panels. Yet, we have seen for years that many companies ignore this, leave it vague, or only bring it up afterwards. Time and again, customers eventually turn to us because these companies have since disappeared. We always arrange the permit in advance — correctly, transparently, and according to the rules.
Clear information about EU subsidies
We provide you with honest and realistic information about subsidy opportunities. We don’t make things sound better than they are: if subsidies officially exist but the subsidy budget has been depleted for years, we are clear about it. We do not use misleading phrases such as ‘including subsidy application’ when the chances of approval are close to zero. This way, we avoid unrealistic expectations and disappointments.
Excellent customer reviews
Our customers rate us an average of 4.9 out of 5 stars, based on more than 225 Google reviews.

Fixed and transparent prices
Our prices are very competitive thanks to the large number of installations we carry out. A significant part of the costs relates to administrative requirements and permits, on which we do not make any profit. Therefore, our prices are fixed and non-negotiable.
All quotations are fully transparent and include as standard:
- All materials
- Installation and configuration
- Administrative tasks
- Municipal building permits
The price you see is the price you pay, with no hidden costs or additional charges afterwards.
Registration with the Generalitat Valenciana (GVA)
Every solar panel installation must be registered with the Generalitat Valenciana. This registration ensures official recognition of the system and is included in our price.
Legalization via network operator (I-DE)
The legalization process with the network operator is mandatory in order to feed electricity back into the grid and receive compensation for it. This process is also fully included in our price.
Compensation for fed-back electricity
When you produce more electricity than you consume, you feed the surplus back into the grid. Your energy supplier compensates this at an average of €0.07 + VAT per kWh. The compensation is settled monthly against your remaining energy costs (for example, nighttime consumption). Some suppliers also offset this against the fixed connection fees.
Property tax (IBI)
Most municipalities offer homeowners a significant discount on the IBI (25–50% per year, for 3–5 years). You do not need to be a resident of Spain for this. After installation, we provide all documentation and permits, including a clear guide by email, so you can easily apply for the discount at your local SUMA office.
Electricity suppliers – tailored advice
Due to language barriers, complex bills, and highly variable rates, finding the right contract is often difficult. We closely monitor the main suppliers and offer free advice after installation. Customers can submit their energy bill once a year for a free analysis, allowing them to benefit each year from the lowest rates and highest feed-in compensation.
Virtual batteries (cloud storage)
We are cautious in our communication about virtual batteries, as expectations often do not match reality
- A virtual battery is not a physical storage, but an administrative settlement model: electricity fed back into the grid during the day is converted into a financial credit to be offset later.
- In practice, this results in everyone feeding back electricity en masse during peak production, while there is already a surplus. The energy is not stored for times of lower supply, which actually increases the strain on the grid.
- Conditions vary by supplier, the guarantee only applies within a one-year contract, and the system is entirely dependent on political decisions.
In Spain, there is now talk of regulation or a possible ban. In many countries, virtual batteries have already been abolished or were never introduced. Since we cannot provide guarantees on a service we do not deliver ourselves and that could disappear at any time, we do not include virtual batteries in our advice.
Our advice: think long-term and focus on high self-consumption, smart matching of consumption and production, physical batteries, and contracts with low rates and high feed-in compensation. This is the only way to choose a solution that is both technically and economically sustainable.
Additional costs in some municipalities
In municipalities such as Calpe, Benissa, and Moraira-Teulada, all costs for permits and documentation are included. In other municipalities, including Altea, Benitatxell, Jalón, Llíber, Alcalalí, Jávea, Dénia, Alfaz, Albir, La Nucía, Finestrat, Els Poblets, and Pedreguer, additional paperwork is required, which entails extra costs. This additional paperwork includes, among other things:
- Proyecto técnico descriptivo (Technical project report with details about the PV installation)
- Certificado de solidez (Structural report confirming that the roof or structure can safely support the solar panels)
- Estudio de seguridad y salud (Arborist study describing risks during installation and preventive measures)
- Estudio de gestión de residuos (Waste management study outlining how waste is collected, treated, and disposed of in accordance with regulations)
All these documents must be prepared and signed exclusively by a certified engineer or architect. If one or more of these documents are required in your municipality, they will always be included in the quote we send you. If you do not reside in the municipalities of Moraira-Teulada, Benissa, or Calpe, these documents are mandatory for a legal system with a building permit, and the costs amount to approximately €915 including VAT. These are mandatory administrative costs that are paid directly to the competent authorities and the engineer; we do not apply any profit margin on them.
Building permits are always required
For solar panels, a valid building permit is required in every municipality, which must be applied for, paid, and approved before installation. Without this permit, it may result in fines, mandatory removal, rejection of a rental license application, and issues when selling the property.
We only carry out installations with a valid building permit. Only if you explicitly request this and sign a legal waiver document can an exception be made. However, we strongly advise against it.
Caution: We base our information exclusively on official data per municipality and update it continuously. We do not respond to statements or information from other installers.
Advice for comparing quotations
Check whether the municipal building permit, studies, and certificates are included, and avoid vague terms such as “including application.” Make sure that the costs for the permit and documentation are clearly stated in the quotation; if they are missing or only mentioned after inquiry, that’s a warning sign. Distinguish between the municipal permit, the GVA registration, and the grid operator notification. The building permit is legally the responsibility of the property owner, not the installer. Many suppliers hide this because the process requires time, expertise, and money. We do not handle permits for installations not carried out by us.
Solar panels
Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic cells. When selecting our panels, we focus on technology, efficiency, reliability, design, and warranty. Our panels are carefully chosen based on over 30 years of experience on the Costa Blanca, data from more than 2,000 systems we’ve installed in the region, test results from independent laboratories, and our own test setups in Calpe. There, we test under real-world conditions, including the effects of Sahara dust, shading, and high summer temperatures.
Because we want to offer only the best, we supply two models of solar panels. This choice is not based on the highest wattage or the lowest price per watt, but on quality, reliability, and actual power output under local conditions. Wattages on paper mean little; what truly matters is how a panel performs on your roof.
Jinko Solar Tiger NEO – Bifacial
One of the most innovative Tier 1 solar panels on the market. This model uses N-type TOPCon cell technology and JinkoSolar’s HOT 3.0 innovations, giving the panel outstanding efficiency, reliability, and shading tolerance. Thanks to its bifacial dual-glass design, the rear side also generates additional energy in certain conditions, resulting in more power per square meter. With a power output of 515W at 23.2% efficiency, this panel delivers top performance even in warm climates, supported by a temperature coefficient of just 0.29% per °C. The robust design, featuring a black frame and 108 half-cut N-type cells, double-tempered glass, and an anodized aluminum frame, combines durability with elegance. Dimensions: 196 × 113 cm, weight: 27.0 kg. Product warranty: 25 years. Linear power warranty: 30 years, with degradation limited to only 0.40% per year after the first year.
Longi Hi-MO X10 Artist – Full-black
A premium Tier 1 solar panel that combines LONGi’s latest Hi-MO X10 Artist technology with N-type TOPCon cells. This panel is designed for maximum performance and a high-end appearance. With its elegant full-black design (frame and panel surface), it fits perfectly on modern rooftops and delivers 480W of power at an efficiency of around 23%. The excellent temperature coefficient of 0.29% per °C ensures that the panel continues to perform efficiently even in warm climates. Built with 108 half-cut monocrystalline cells, tempered glass with an anti-reflective coating, and a robust anodized aluminum frame, it offers both strength and durability. With compact dimensions of 172 × 113 cm and a weight of 22.5 kg, the panel is easy to install. Product warranty: 25 years. Linear power warranty: 30 years, with an annual degradation of no more than 0.40% after the first year.
Differences between Jinko Tiger Neo & Longi Hi-Mo X10
The Jinko 515W panel is a bifacial model that generates energy on both sides, allowing it to deliver higher yields in certain situations. This panel is slightly larger (196 × 113 cm, 27 kg) and features a black frame with dual-glass design. The Longi 480W panel is monofacial, with a more compact size (172 × 113 cm, 22.5 kg) and a full-black design (frame and surface) that blends seamlessly with modern rooftops. Since both panels are among the very best, we usually let the situation determine the choice. When ample roof space is available, we typically recommend the Jinko panel to maximize output per panel. If space is limited or if the aesthetics of a compact full-black design are more important, we usually advise choosing the Longi panel.

Inverter / Smart Energy Controller
An inverter is an electronic device that converts direct current (DC) generated by solar panels into alternating current (AC) used in homes. Additionally, the inverter can feed surplus electricity, not immediately consumed in the household, back into the power grid.
We primarily work with string inverters, optionally in combination with optimizers. With a string inverter, a single central inverter is installed, typically in a technical room, garage, or outdoors. Our range includes premium hybrid string inverters that can be expanded with additional solar panels, battery storage, smart charging stations, backup solutions, and smart grid functionalities. For over five years, we have been using Huawei inverters due to their reliability, compact size, quiet operation, user-friendly app, excellent value for money, and long warranty.
Microinverters: We rarely use microinverters, as we hardly encounter situations in practice where they offer a clear added value. Due to the higher costs, they usually make the system unnecessarily more expensive without providing a demonstrable advantage over string inverters, with or without optimizers.

Battery storage / Smart Storage (optioneel)
Battery storage with Huawei Smart Storage allows you to store solar energy generated during the day for use in the evening, on cloudy days, or when your electricity consumption temporarily exceeds the production of your solar panels. This increases your independence from the power grid and maximizes your self-consumption.
- Capacity starting from 7 kWh
- Modularly expandable in 7 kWh increments (up to a maximum of 42 kWh per inverter)
- With 7 kWh of storage, the battery can deliver 3.5 kW

Optimizer / Smart Module Controller (meestal optioneel)
Optimizers (Huawei Smart Module Controllers) work together with the inverter to optimize the performance of individual solar panels, ensuring maximum efficiency of the solar panel system. Thanks to the optimizer, the system can generate more electricity even if some panels temporarily perform less due to shading effects or mismatches (such as panels with different orientations or tilt angles). An additional advantage of an optimizer is that you can monitor the performance of each individual panel via the solar system’s app.
In most situations, optimizers are not needed. When they are necessary due to large variations in tilt angles, orientations, or shading, we always include them in the quotation.
Prices including installation and VAT:
€65 per optimizer

Mounting systems

Sloping roofs
For the installation of solar panels on pitched roofs with roof tiles, we use a mounting system specifically designed for the distinctive Spanish roofs and tiles.
Flat roofs
For flat roofs and gardens, we use prefab concrete foundations of high-quality concrete.
Depending on the situation, we opt for rows of panels with sufficient spacing to prevent shading or a “sail system.” In this system, the panels are placed directly behind each other, slightly elevated, ensuring they don’t cast shadows on one another and eliminating the need for spacing between panels.
Pergolas and carports
For pergolas and carports, we use aluminum structures.
Note: To obtain a building permit for solar panels on a carport, nearly all municipalities require a minimum distance of 5 meters between the panels and the property boundary. Additionally, we can only apply for the permit if the carport is registered in the land registry, which we can verify for you.
Walls
Solar panels can also be installed on walls using aluminum structures.
Frequently Asked Questions – FAQ
Where do you install?
As of January 1, 2023, we have reduced our service area in order to continue meeting the high demand and maintain the top-notch service that our customers have come to expect from us over the past 30 years. We are active in the Marina Baja and Marina Alta, from Denia to Villajoyosa, in cities and towns such as Javea, Benitatchell, Teulada, Moraira, Benissa, Jalon, Lliber, Alcalali, Calpe, Altea, Alfaz, Albir, and Benidorm.
What makes your prices so competitive?
Our prices are highly competitive due to the large number of systems we install. This allows us to work efficiently and pass the cost savings directly on to our customers. Additionally, we handle all paperwork in-house. For building permits, we do not work through administrative offices, but maintain direct contact with the relevant municipalities.
Do you install “Balkonkraftwerke” (plug-and-play systems)?
No, we do not install this type of system. In terms of regulations for feeding electricity back into the grid and building permits, there is no difference between a full solar panel system and a “Balkonkraftwerk” system with one or two panels. Since demand for this type of system in this region is low and the paperwork and permit costs are not worthwhile compared to the limited output of one or two panels, we do not offer these systems.
Do you offer financing options?
Yes, we offer financing options.
Do the panels have to be cleaned?
Cleaning solar panels when they are dirty increases their production. You can do this yourself with a soft brush or cloth, or you can leave it to one of our professional partners, who offer special rates for our customers.
Do solar panel systems need maintenance?
Besides cleaning the panels, solar panel systems do not require any maintenance.
What if roof tiles break during the installation?
If roof tiles are damaged during the installation process, we will replace them.
Do you install systems I bought myself?
No, we do not install materials purchased independently.
What’s the deal with the subsidies from the EU Next Generation Fund?
Until December 31, 2024, homeowners could apply for solar panel subsidies through the EU Next Generation Fund. From the outset, it was clear that the available budget was very limited compared to the high demand, making the chances of approval low. For this reason, we communicated transparently about the low success rate and chose not to submit applications once the fund opened. Unfortunately, a great deal of confusion has arisen since then. Some installers continued to reference this scheme, creating unrealistic expectations. Even now, we still encounter people who believe they are entitled to a subsidy, while the program has already ended and the likelihood of payment is minimal. We believe it is important to be clear: at this moment, there is no active European subsidy available for solar panels.
I have solar panels, but the company that installed them no longer exists. What can I do?
In many cases, we can assist you. To do so, visit our store in Calpe and bring along all the information you have about the system (invoices, brochures, paperwork, etc.) during your visit.
