Solar panels
Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity, which powers your systems and devices. If the generated electricity is not sufficient, for example at night, the required additional electricity is automatically drawn from the regular main grid. If there is a surplus of generated electricity, it is fed back into the main grid.

Transparent pricing
With us, no hidden costs for administration or additional work — just clear, honest prices.
Fair rates for everyone
We have noticed that different nationalities negotiate in different ways. Some people always ask for a discount, while others don’t. That’s why we don’t work with negotiation margins, commissions, or discounts. Everyone receives the same transparent and competitive price from the very beginning.
Lowest price guarantee
Thanks to our competitive prices, we can offer a lowest price guarantee, provided that the comparison is made with A-quality systems and includes all necessary documentation and building permits.
Building permits are mandatory in Spain
In Spain, a building permit is mandatory for solar panels. Yet, we have seen for years that many companies ignore this, leave it vague, or only bring it up afterwards. Time and again, customers eventually turn to us because these companies have since disappeared. We always arrange the permit in advance — correctly, transparently, and according to the rules.
Clear information about EU subsidies
We provide you with honest and realistic information about subsidy opportunities. We don’t make things sound better than they are: if subsidies officially exist but the subsidy budget has been depleted for years, we are clear about it. We do not use misleading phrases such as ‘including subsidy application’ when the chances of approval are close to zero. This way, we avoid unrealistic expectations and disappointments.

Prices
The prices of these packages are based on installation on a sloping roof with roof tiles.
Our prices are set at a highly competitive level due to the large number of installations we carry out. A significant portion of the cost covers administrative obligations and paperwork, on which we make no profit. For this reason, our prices are fixed and non-negotiable.
Production values
The production of these packages is based on a southern orientation and a slope of 25 degrees.
Additional costs for flat surfaces
Solar panels installed on flat roofs, carports, and pergolas are €18 including VAT per panel more expensive due to additional materials and transportation costs.
In all municipalities, an additional certificate is required to obtain a building permit when solar panels are installed on a flat roof, pergola, or carport. This so-called certificado de solidez (certificate of structural integrity) must be issued by a certified engineer and costs approximately €360 including VAT. When the solar panels are installed on a tiled roof or on the ground, this certificate is not required.
Fixed prices
Our quotations are completely transparent and always include all necessary materials, services, administrative work, and building permits. The price you see is the price you pay – with no hidden costs, recalculations, or unexpected additional charges after installation.
Registration through the Generalitat Valenciana
Solar panel installations must be registered with the Generalitat Valenciana (GVA) as required by law. This registration ensures that your system is officially recognized and complies with regional regulations. These works are included in our prices.
Legalization via the grid operator
It is essential to follow the legalization process established by the grid operator (I-DE). This process ensures the official authorization and recognition of feeding surplus electricity back into the grid, allowing you to receive compensation for your surplus electricity. These works are included in our prices.
Compensation for surplus electricity
When you generate more electricity than you need, the surplus is fed back into the main power grid. Your electricity supplier compensates you for the electricity you feed back into the grid at an average rate of 8 cents + VAT per kWh returned. These compensations are settled monthly with the remaining amount you still need to pay, for example, for electricity consumed during the night. Some suppliers also offset these compensations against the fixed connection fees.
Discount on property tax (IBI)
In most municipalities, homeowners have the opportunity to benefit from a reduction in property tax (IBI). You do not need to be a resident of Spain to be eligible for this discount. This discount is substantial. In most municipalities, it ranges from 25% to 50% per year over a period of 3 to 5 years. We provide all the necessary documentation and building permits required to obtain the discount. We send these documents after the installation in a clear email with an explanation of the content of each document, making the process of applying for the IBI discount at your local SUMA office simple and quick.
Electricity suppliers: Tailored Advice
Finding the right contract can be challenging for many, especially due to the language barrier, the large number of suppliers, complex electricity bills, and constantly changing rates. We closely monitor the main Spanish electricity providers and offer personalized advice after installation. Our customers can send us their energy bill once a year for a free analysis and advice, ensuring they always benefit from the lowest rates and the highest compensation for fed-back solar energy.
Virtual Batteries
We are realistic and cautious in our communication about ‘virtual batteries’ because expectations often exceed the actual benefits. The conditions vary greatly depending on the provider, and since energy contracts typically have a duration of only one year, the use of a virtual battery is only guaranteed for that period. Moreover, these services are heavily influenced by political decisions. In Spanish politics, early signs of concern about unchecked growth have already emerged, and there is even talk of potentially banning this service. Since we cannot guarantee something we do not offer ourselves – and especially because the virtual battery could disappear at any moment in the future – we do not include it in our recommendations and do not use it as a selling point for solar panel systems.
Additional (administrative) costs in some municipalities
The above prices apply to municipalities such as Calpe, Benissa, and Moraira-Teulada and include all costs related to the building permit. In several other municipalities — including Altea, Benitatxell, Jalón, Jávea, Dénia, Finestrat, and Pedreguer — obtaining a building permit requires a relatively large amount of additional paperwork. This includes, among other things, a certificado de solidez (certificate of structural integrity), an estudio de seguridad y salud (health and safety study), an estudio de residuos (waste management study), a proyecto descriptivo (project plan), tasas del Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros (fees from the official engineering association), and various other documents or certificates. These must be prepared by a certified engineer. The cost for this is approximately €915 including VAT. In the municipality of Benitatxell, this is approximately €1,035 including VAT. If this is required in your municipality, these administrative tasks will always be included in your quotation.
Building Permits
To install a solar panel system, a building permit is required in all municipalities. This permit must be applied for, paid for, and approved before installation. The absence of a building permit can lead, either immediately or in the future, to fines, mandatory removal, problems obtaining a rental license, or issues when selling the property.
We only carry out installations with a valid permit. Our quotations are fully comprehensive — including the permit application, all associated costs, and all required documentation.
Important: a permit application is not simply a matter of submitting a form. In many cases, the application itself requires extensive and costly preliminary work, such as studies, drawings, certificates, analyses, and municipality-specific annexes. These documents are essential just to submit the application and are often overlooked or deliberately omitted.
Only if you explicitly request it and sign a legal document releasing us from liability can we, by exception, proceed with installation without a permit. Important: obtaining a permit retroactively is not possible. There is no statute of limitations, and paying a fine does not resolve the issue.
Advice when comparing quotations:
- Explicitly ask whether a valid municipal building permit, including all required paperwork, is included.
- Be alert for vague terms such as “including application” without further specification.
- Pay extra attention if the building permit and associated costs are not included in the quotation upfront but are only mentioned after you ask about them.
- Clearly distinguish between a municipal building permit and other obligations, such as registration with the Generalitat Valenciana or the grid operator.
Keep in mind that the legal responsibility for the building permit lies with the property owner, not the installer. This is one of the reasons some installers avoid mentioning it: the application process is time-consuming, often lacks proper expertise, and significantly increases the cost of solar panel systems in Spain.
Mounting systems

Sloping roofs
For the installation of solar panels on pitched roofs with roof tiles, we use a mounting system specifically designed for the distinctive Spanish roofs and tiles.
Flat roofs
For flat roofs and gardens, we use prefab concrete foundations of high-quality concrete.
Depending on the situation, we opt for rows of panels with sufficient spacing to prevent shading or a “sail system.” In this system, the panels are placed directly behind each other, slightly elevated, ensuring they don’t cast shadows on one another and eliminating the need for spacing between panels.
Pergolas and carports
For pergolas and carports, we use aluminum structures.
Note: To obtain a building permit for solar panels on a carport, nearly all municipalities require a minimum distance of 5 meters between the panels and the property boundary. Additionally, we can only apply for the permit if the carport is registered in the land registry, which we can verify for you.
Walls
Solar panels can also be installed on walls using aluminum structures.
Solar panels
Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic cells. When selecting our panels, we focus on technology, efficiency, reliability, design, and warranty. Our panels are carefully chosen based on over 30 years of experience on the Costa Blanca, data from more than 2,000 systems we’ve installed in the region, test results from independent laboratories, and our own test setups in Calpe. There, we test under real-world conditions, including the effects of Sahara dust, shading, and high summer temperatures.
Because we are committed to offering only the best, starting from April 10, 2025, we will supply just one model of solar panel. This choice is not based on the highest wattage or the lowest price per watt, but on quality, reliability, and actual energy yield under local conditions. Wattage on paper means little; what truly matters is how a panel performs on your roof – and this panel delivers the highest energy yield per square meter. That is exactly the foundation of our selection.

Inverter
An inverter is an electronic device that converts direct current (DC) generated by solar panels into alternating current (AC) used in homes. Additionally, the inverter can feed surplus electricity, not immediately consumed in the household, back into the power grid.
We primarily work with string inverters, optionally in combination with optimizers. With a string inverter, a single central inverter is installed, typically in a technical room, garage, or outdoors. Our range includes premium hybrid string inverters that can be expanded with additional solar panels, battery storage, smart charging stations, backup solutions, and smart grid functionalities. For over five years, we have been using Huawei inverters due to their reliability, compact size, quiet operation, user-friendly app, excellent value for money, and long warranty.
Microinverters: We rarely use microinverters, as we hardly encounter situations in practice where they offer a clear added value. Due to the higher costs, they usually make the system unnecessarily more expensive without providing a demonstrable advantage over string inverters, with or without optimizers.
Battery Storage (Optional)
Battery storage (Huawei Smart Storage) provides the capability to store electricity generated during the day in batteries for use during periods of low or no sunlight, or when your home temporarily requires more electricity during the day than the solar panels are producing at that time.
- Starting at 7 kWh
- Modular expandable in increments of 5 kWh
- With 7 kWh of storage, the battery can deliver 3.5 kW
- With 14 kWh of storage, the battery can deliver 7 kW

Back-up in case of power outage (optional)
To ensure electricity is available even during a power outage, an additional component can be added to the solar panel system. This allows the system to automatically switch from grid power to battery power as soon as the grid goes down. The advanced Huawei SmartGuard switches the entire home to battery power within 20 milliseconds — without any noticeable interruption.
Prices include installation and VAT:
Single-phase: €1,445
Three-phase: Expected in the third quarter of 2025
The SmartGuard is compatible with almost all Huawei inverters we install and can also be added to existing systems at a later stage.
Optimizers (usually optional)
Optimizers (Huawei Smart Module Controllers) work in tandem with the inverter to optimize the performance of individual solar panels, ensuring maximum system efficiency. With the optimizer, the system can deliver more electricity even when some panels temporarily underperform due to shading or mismatches (such as panels with different orientations or tilt angles). An additional benefit of using an optimizer is that you can monitor the performance of each individual panel through the solar system’s app.
Since we now install the new generation of solar panels, optimizers are no longer needed in many situations involving shade. However, in cases of mismatches—such as different orientations or tilt angles—optimizers are still recommended. Therefore, we will only offer optimizers when they are truly necessary for the proper functioning of the solar system or if you wish to monitor the performance of each individual panel.

Frequently Asked Questions – FAQ
Where do you install?
As of January 1, 2023, we have reduced our service area in order to continue meeting the high demand and maintain the top-notch service that our customers have come to expect from us over the past 30 years. We are active in the Marina Baja and Marina Alta, from Denia to Villajoyosa, in cities and towns such as Javea, Benitatchell, Teulada, Moraira, Benissa, Jalon, Lliber, Alcalali, Calpe, Altea, Alfaz, Albir, and Benidorm.
What makes your prices so competitive?
Our prices are highly competitive due to the large number of systems we install. This allows us to work efficiently and pass the cost savings directly on to our customers. Additionally, we handle all paperwork in-house. For building permits, we do not work through administrative offices, but maintain direct contact with the relevant municipalities.
Do you install “Balkonkraftwerke” (plug-and-play systems)?
No, we do not install this type of system. In terms of regulations for feeding electricity back into the grid and building permits, there is no difference between a full solar panel system and a “Balkonkraftwerk” system with one or two panels. Since demand for this type of system in this region is low and the paperwork and permit costs are not worthwhile compared to the limited output of one or two panels, we do not offer these systems.
Do you offer financing options?
Yes, we offer financing options.
Do the panels have to be cleaned?
Cleaning solar panels when they are dirty increases their production. You can do this yourself with a soft brush or cloth, or you can leave it to one of our professional partners, who offer special rates for our customers.
Do solar panel systems need maintenance?
Besides cleaning the panels, solar panel systems do not require any maintenance.
What if roof tiles break during the installation?
If roof tiles are damaged during the installation process, we will replace them.
Do you install systems I bought myself?
No, we do not install materials purchased independently.
What’s the deal with the subsidies from the EU Next Generation Fund?
Until December 31, 2024, homeowners could apply for solar panel subsidies through the EU Next Generation Fund. From the outset, it was clear that the available budget was very limited compared to the high demand, making the chances of approval low. For this reason, we communicated transparently about the low success rate and chose not to submit applications once the fund opened. Unfortunately, a great deal of confusion has arisen since then. Some installers continued to reference this scheme, creating unrealistic expectations. Even now, we still encounter people who believe they are entitled to a subsidy, while the program has already ended and the likelihood of payment is minimal. We believe it is important to be clear: at this moment, there is no active European subsidy available for solar panels.
I have solar panels, but the company that installed them no longer exists. What can I do?
In many cases, we can assist you. To do so, visit our store in Calpe and bring along all the information you have about the system (invoices, brochures, paperwork, etc.) during your visit.
