Solar panels
Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity through photovoltaic cells. In our selection, long-term high and stable energy output is central. We look beyond on-paper specifications and assess all factors that determine whether a solar panel will reliably perform for decades. Our choices are based on more than 30 years of experience on the Costa Blanca, data from over 2,000 systems we have installed, test results from independent laboratories, and practical experience under local conditions. We explicitly take into account high summer temperatures, dust and Sahara sand, changing light conditions, and partial shading on roofs.
SunPower Performance 7
SunPower, the leading manufacturer in the solar energy sector.
To consistently provide our customers with the highest quality, we work with a single solar panel: the SunPower Performance 7 from SunPower. This choice is not based on marketing claims or high wattages, but on proven technology and performance under real-world conditions. Wattages and efficiencies on paper mean little; what matters is how a panel performs day in, day out on your roof.
The SunPower solar panels we use have a nominal power of 510 W. They are built with one-third cut shingled cell and back-contact technology, which ensures even current distribution, excellent shade tolerance, and hotspot protection. The panels use monocrystalline N-type TOPCon cells with low degradation and a glass-glass bifacial construction that provides extra strength and protects against moisture and aging. Thanks to a low temperature coefficient of -0.29% per °C, certification for hail up to 40 mm at 27.5 m/s, high wind load resistance, and fire class A (EN 13501-1 A2-s1, d0), these panels are particularly suitable for the Mediterranean coastal climate. Mounting systems

Sloping roofs
When installing solar panels on pitched roofs with roof tiles, we use a mounting system specifically designed for Spanish roofs and their typical tiles.

Flat roofs
For flat roofs and gardens, we use high-quality prefab concrete foundations, made of reinforced concrete for optimal strength.

Walls, pergolas, and carports
On walls, pergolas, and carports, we use aluminum structures.

The prices of our packages are based on installation on a pitched roof with roof tiles. For installations on flat roofs, carports or pergolas, a surcharge of approximately €20 including VAT per panel applies due to additional materials and transport, and approximately €90 including VAT for an additional required certificate, the “certificado de solidez” (certificate of structural integrity).

Fixed and transparent prices
Our prices are very competitive thanks to the large number of installations we carry out. A significant part of the costs relates to administrative requirements and permits, on which we do not make any profit. Therefore, our prices are fixed and non-negotiable.
All quotations are fully transparent and include as standard:

Registration with the Generalitat Valenciana (GVA)
Every solar panel installation must be registered with the Generalitat Valenciana. This registration ensures official recognition of the system and is included in our price.
Legalization via network operator (I-DE)
The legalization process with the network operator is mandatory in order to feed electricity back into the grid and receive compensation for it. This process is also fully included in our price.
Compensation for fed-back electricity
When you produce more electricity than you consume, you feed the surplus back into the grid. Your energy supplier compensates this at an average of €0.07 + VAT per kWh. The compensation is settled monthly against your remaining energy costs (for example, nighttime consumption). Some suppliers also offset this against the fixed connection fees.
Electricity suppliers – tailored advice
Due to language barriers, complex bills, and highly variable rates, finding the right contract is often difficult. We closely monitor the main suppliers and offer free advice after installation. Customers can submit their energy bill once a year for a free analysis, allowing them to benefit each year from the lowest rates and highest feed-in compensation.
Important: Additional administrative fees in some municipalities.
In municipalities such as Calpe, Benissa, and Moraira-Teulada, all permit and documentation costs are included. In other municipalities, including Altea, Benitatxell, Jalón, Llíber, Alcalalí, Jávea, Dénia, Alfaz, Albir, La Nucía, Finestrat, Els Poblets, and Pedreguer, additional paperwork is required to obtain a building permit, which incurs extra costs. This additional paperwork may include:

- Certificado de solidez
- Estudio de seguridad y salud
- Estudio de gestión de residuos
- Estudio de eficiencia y orientación de los módulos fotovoltaicos
- Certificado de innecesariedad de instalación fotovoltaica
- Justificación del autoconsumo
- Justificación del cumplimiento de condiciones estéticas
All of these documents may only be prepared and signed by a certified engineer or architect. If one or more of these documents are required in your municipality, they will in all cases be included in the quotation we send you. If you do not live in the municipality of Moraira-Teulada, Benissa or Calpe, these documents are mandatory for a legal system with building permit and the costs amount to approximately €300 including VAT. These are compulsory administrative fees paid directly to the competent authorities and the engineer; we do not apply any profit margin to these costs.
Building permits are always required
For the installation of a solar panel system, a building permit is required in all municipalities. This permit must be applied for, paid, and approved before the installation takes place. We are often asked about the costs for the paperwork related to solar panel systems and building permits, because many other installers do not include these costs in their quotations. Many installers only handle the basic documentation (GVA, Industrias, Electrical Certificate), but not the building permit. By law, the responsibility for applying for and obtaining this permit lies with the property owner, not with the installer. For this reason, we take care of the entire process on your behalf, ensuring that your installation fully complies with all regulations and that you run no risk of issues with the municipality, for example when applying for a rental license, selling your property, or if the municipality identifies the solar panels during an inspection. We strictly comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Because permit requirements differ per municipality and are often complex, we base each project exclusively on official information received directly from the relevant municipality. We do not rely on or respond to statements or claims from other installers or third parties regarding permits or regulations. All quotations we provide are fully inclusive of all costs for building permits, mandatory studies, and certificates. We charge only the costs that we ourselves are required to pay for these documents, without any markup. You pay exactly what we pay.
Important: In all municipalities, no permit is granted for solar panels installed on a carport or pergola located within 5 meters of the property boundary. If you live in the inland area (campo / zona rústica) of the municipality of Benissa, solar panels may not be installed on roofs. In this area, installation is only permitted on the ground, also with a minimum distance of 5 meters between the solar panels and the property boundary.
Due to the size and complexity of the paperwork, we handle this process exclusively for our own customers; we do not obtain building permits or legalize solar panel systems for third parties.
Property tax (IBI)
Most municipalities offer homeowners a substantial reduction on the IBI (25–50% per year, for a period of 3–5 years). You do not need to be a resident of Spain to qualify. After the installation, we provide all required documentation and permits, including a clear step-by-step guide by email, so the reduction can be applied for easily.

Besides cleaning the panels, solar panel systems do not require any maintenance.
What if roof tiles break during the installation?
If roof tiles are damaged during the installation process, we will replace them.
I have solar panels, but the company that installed them no longer exists. What can I do?
In many cases, we can assist you. To do so, visit our store in Calpe and bring along all the information you have about the system (invoices, brochures, paperwork, etc.) during your visit.
